One, a master of water and a bearer of the old magic. The other, a master of fire and a lord of darkness. These two unlikely allies will be forced to face their worst nightmare - working together - in order to escape their eternal confinement. Will the mage and the vampire combine their supernatural abilities to defeat the horde of obstacles that await them, or will their irreconcilable hatred lead to their mutual demise?
Fangs and Friends is an award winning co-op puzzle game focused on short, asynchronous game-play in order to solve puzzles and continually work towards escape.
As the producer, and the leader of the Fangs and Friends team, this jack of all trades has her hands everywhere! The code, the art–– even this website! Alessia is also the lead in level design, and UI; both a view into the mysteries of her mind.
Anisha Rohra likes organizing things and managing people - basically she's a bossy perfectionist. Turns out these are useful skills for making a game. She also likes sassy characters, so its a good thing she's in charge of the story.
The only thing bigger than Erika's love for drawing is her eyebags. She's recently delved into 3D art, making her the concept and environment artist for Fangs and Friends!
Martin is a big nerd that codes for fun. He worked on particles and mechanics for Fangs and Friends.
Also he's French.
Pablo’s always thinking on different ways to defeat his friends, which made it even more exciting how he got to work on the traps for our game. If you’re not killing each other you’re doing something wrong.
Tonya is an animator at heart! But when she's not spending hours in front of a computer moving a character limb by limb, she spends whatever free time she has crafting costumes in her basement. I guess you can say she loves bringing characters to life in more ways than one!
Jacob is the lead sound designer and composer for Fangs and Friends. By implementing his experience in various forms of sound synthesis, post-processing, and field recording techniques, he has attempted to create a cohesive sound environment that immerses the player further into the game.

We started working on this project in January of 2019! As of the Level Up Showcase, we've been working on it approximately three months in total.
All the hours. The team is mostly vampires after all.
In all seriousness, we worked these past three months with whatever free time we could find, and then some. This project meant a lot to the team, and we put in as many hours of the day as we could into it.
We had a bunch of varied games that inspired both our art, and our gameplay itself. One big inspiration from the get-go was the co-op game Pitfall Planet. They were a huge inspiration for us to see how much we could accomplish in the time we had to kick this off, and we ran from there.
Artistically, we referenced games such as Transistor and Bastion, from Supergiant Games, as well as Ni No Kuni, Journey, and some of the simpler, low-poly styled Legend of Zelda games.
Game play wise, we looked at games like Legend of Zelda, Portal, Pitfall Planet, Brother: A Tale of Two Sons, and Magicka 2 to name a few.
Yes! As a team, everyone is exctied to continue working on Fangs and Friends. In the meantime, there'll be a demo up on our itch.io page shortly to tide you over while we work on new and exciting content!
